Hi Brock, I was thinking the other day about how you asked me to take you to choir practice at CSL because you didn't want to go alone. Because you knew that I would go if it was for you and not myself. Very very tricky!!!

I met you walking down Denman one day over 4 years ago!! We looked at eachother and recognized one another from the Greenhouse bookstore. It was the day before the Kindness Concert. You gave me a tiny flyer. I said I would go. I didn't. I called you and said I am sorry that I didn’t go but that I wanted to volunteer for you. We met for tea... and the rest is history...you came to everything I invited you to... two musicals, a cake, one thing led to another and now this Friday I am co-hosting a fundraising event for Big Brothers, singing all night with the band I sing lead with. Thank you Brock.

You inspire me. I have no doubt that there are no accidents and you have been a huge inspiration and influence in my life. I miss you and I can't wait to see you again. So glad to hear that you are in beautiful Santa Cruz to celebrate your birthday!! I wish I could be there with you... it's one of my most favorite towns on the Central/Northern coast of CA. Check out "Steamers" - it's a surf spot with little waves that seem to last forever, a lot of people learn to surf there, so it's fun to watch people get up on a long board for the first time...! Also, the downtown in that district is so neat... there is an italian deli (the name escapes me, but it is well known if you ask) that is family run, and they would probably be interested in your story!! They would probably hook up some sandwiches too!! Enjoy the beauty of the coast... I will send my prayers for sunshine and safe journeys....
Derek and I are enjoying the Sedona Film Festival this week! What a blessing! The town is so full of love right now... everyone has a smile on their face... we are all talking about creative ideas and doing good things for mother earth...!
We are super excited about re-connecting with you and your wife! Anytime you wish to travel back to Sedona, you have a spot at our home. Maybe we could even venture up to BC to see you... and the celebration of your safe return!
