Hi all YOU special people reading my BLOGS...
...i have some VERY tough news to share and i'm feeling such a deep sense of sadness as i write to you! The last week or so of this 6 1/2 month, 7,000 mile bicycle trip for KINDNESS has been extremely tough on my body and i have been totally exhausted! i just entered Canada at Victoria and it's been very emotional seeing Wilma again...it has not been easy for her at school and for me on the road, although i am totally fulfilled with what we (our Kindness Team and all you supporters) have accomplished as far as touching hearts and making a HUGE difference! i will be forever grateful for ALL the special people in my life!
...it is with great sadness and yet a sense of relief that i announce the end of the 'KINDNESS...Cycle it Forward' Tour!...by the time you get this i will have caught the ferry and ridden my bicycle into Pt. Roberts to our cabin (Tues. May. 17th) - i will be healing there for a short while and unfortunately i don't have a phone or computer! i would love to see friends! If anyone knows of a place in Vancouver that needs babysitting from now until the end of April, please email me. i can move back into our apartment at the start of May! i'm just really in need of my own quiet space at this time!
...there won't be a big 'Welcome Home' Celebration which is fine with me as the journey is what it was all about! The media is important to me though, to get our very important message out! i have been overwhelmed by the amount of abuse, violence, and bullying i've heard about as i toured...it breaks my heart the damage it has done to people!
....i will some time have a gathering where hopefully people will come and i can share about the trip!
